This deliciously soothing, nourishing product would have you on smell and texture alone. Originally developed for use in their skincare treatments, you really are catapulted into the spa, instantly relaxing and feeling spoilt. The application of the product itself is like giving yourself a mini-facial. Putting a small amount on your fingertips and smooth over the face as it melts into your skin, dissolving makeup, grime and tension before dampening the tips of your fingers & massaging in further, removing with a warm cloth.
Akin to eve lom’s cleansing balm and experience, neither companies test on animals. Elemis is slightly less pricey. I wouldn’t actually know how to make a decision between the two of them outside of that. I guess that’s why Elemis threw the collagen aspect in! I’m not sure it’s possible to patch up the totally natural decline of collagen in our cells as we age. The best preventative for that is water, vegetables, sleep and no meat, alcohol or cigarettes; but I’ll always happily take a soothingly rich facial experience over soap and water/Dr Bronners if I can!
“Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm combines precious starflower, elderberry and optimega™ oils with rose and mimosa waxes, and anti-ageing padina pavonica to deeply cleanse, nourish and smooth for a glowing complexion.””
That’s exactly how I feel, deeply cleansed, deeply nourished and with glowing complexion… hello summer 🙂
