Whether they call it summer or winter, it’s really eternal summer here in El Salvador. Winter indicates the dry season and summer the rain. It’s been dry for a long time now here and the trees are looking like they’re desperate for a really good drink, yellowing at the edges if not already brown.
I remember missing the four defined seasons whilst living in Brazil, marking the coming of spring by the types of trees coming into blossom, winter by the lip cracking aridity of the drought and summer by its 3pm heaven’s opening downpours.
The folks back home in the UK are talking crazy, about leaving the house without a winter coat, about leaving the house in general! It means only one thing. Spring is springing and here’s a little playlist to get you in the mood.
